(Gorakshanath posture)

It is the meditation posture of Guru Gorakshanath , the originator of Hatha Yoga Tradition, hence it is known as Gorakshasana.

Method

1. Sit in Samatala Stithi
2. Join the soles of both legs together and bring the heels below the perineum
3. Sit on the heels, put the arms on the knees in Chinmudra and meditate as long as possible

Benefits

It tones the reproductive organs and removes constipation and indigestion. It helps prevent piles. It also helps pregnant women for easy delivery.
