Vrikshasana

(Tree Posture)

This posture resembles a tree and hence the name.

Method

  1. Stand in Sama Sthithi.
  2. Fold the right leg at the knee and place the right heel on the left thigh.
  3. Then slowly raise both the hands up.
  4. Join both the palms and stretch upwards.
  5. Balance improves if concentrating on one point.
  6. Stay in that posture comfortably. Then gradually and slowly come back to Sama Sthithi.

Benefits

Improves balance and concentration. It strengthens the body muscles.
